My family has been attending a UMC for a few years now, and it's just so devastating. I don't understand what happened to lead them so far astray from the Biblical views they used to hold. I finally got up the emotional strength to listen to a sermon from their church today, which I think is probably why this short popped up on my page. It was so disheartening to listen to.

So sad to see that denomination get hijacked and begin worshipping at the altar of Sin!

A Religion (such as methodist) does not mean it's a church.

Well the new testament was also a "significant deviation from the orthodoxy"....as was the Protestant Reformation, that gave us said sect. People were SURELY outraged about both, and yet...things change, time goes on, and I'm sure the two changes I just mentioned are considered "good" ones, by millions of people. Maybe don't be so stubborn because you fear change? You might miss out.

My independent Methodist pastor said 50 years ago, compromise will destroy the church. Now we are watching it happen in real time.
